Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif ruled out US claim that Iran has dispatched arms to Yemen, describing it as an unfounded allegation.
According to the ministrys Media Diplomacy Department, Zarif who is on a week-long tour to Latin America, has reacted to the statements of US Secretary of State John Kerry who had accused Iran of sending military equipment to Yemen.
Rejecting US baseless claims that Iran has dispatched arms to the impoverished country, the minister said that with these remarks, the US has involved itself in the inhuman war crimes committed by the child-killing Saudi regime against the innocent and oppressed nation of Yemen and it should remain accountable for all the anti-human crimes.
No doubt Kerry knows better than others that during the past one and a half years, the Saudi regime has made all the attempts to make ceasefire in Yemen ineffective, Zarif said.
Ruling out Kerrys remarks, He noted that time is ripe now for the US to learn from its past mistakes in Syria and Iraq and open its eyes to the realities on the ground.
Iran has on several occasions underlined that Tehrans military capabilities have never been a threat to any country and it is of merely defensive nature.
What has threatened the region and world is Takfiri terrorism thought of whose origins Kerry should be well aware of, he said.
