Foreign Minister Zarif Arrives in Syria

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has arrived in Damascus, the capital of Syria, at the head of a political delegation.

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has arrived in Damascus, the capital of Syria, at the head of a political delegation. 

Upon arrival on Monday, Zarif was welcomed by Syrian Deputy Foreign Minister Faisal Mekdad.

The Iranian top diplomat is to hold talks with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and Foreign Minister Walid al-Muallem in coming hours.
