Iranian FM meets with Armenian deputy foreign minister

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian on Saturday afternoon met with Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanian at the Iranian Foreign Ministry.

  

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian on Saturday afternoon met with Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanian at the Iranian Foreign Ministry.

 

In the meeting,  Amirabdollahian referred to his visit to Armenia and his positive negotiations with the country's prime minister and foreign minister, stressing the importance of continued joint efforts to strengthen and promote cooperation in various political, economic, commercial, scientific and cultural fields.

 

He described the expansion of neighborly relations with Armenia in all fields as being beneficial to both countries and in line with peace, stability and sustainable security in the region away from the interference of foreign countries.

 

Kostanian also expressed pleasure with his meeting with Amirabdollahian and extended greetings from Armenia's foreign minister to the top Iranian diplomat. Kostanian underscored that Armenia considers the expansion of relations with Iran as very important and it thinks of it as conducive to the stability and security of the region.

 

The Armenian deputy foreign minister also presented a report on his talks with his Iranian counterpart as part of the new round of political consultations between the two countries and described the results as fruitful. Kostanian said both parties agreed to continue and boost these consultations at different levels.
