Ministry of Foreign Affairs pledges allegiance to new Supreme Leader

يا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا أَطِيعُوا اللَّهَ وَ أَطِيعُوا الرَّسُولَ وَ أُولِي الْأَمْرِ مِنْكُمْ

"O you who have believed, obey Allah and obey the Messenger and those in authority among you."
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, while paying tribute to the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution and the group of brave commanders and dear compatriots who were martyred during the savage aggression by the United States and the Zionist regime against the foundation of Iran over the past 11 days, congratulates the worthy selection of Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei as the third Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution. This selection, which took place in accordance with the principles of the Constitution and based on the decision of the Assembly of Experts, is hereby congratulated to His Eminence and the great nation of Iran.
In the critical situation that our dear homeland faces due to the continued military aggression by the United States and the Zionist regime, the election of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution with the decisive vote of the people's representatives in the Assembly of Experts and the comprehensive support of the Iranian nation for this timely and wise decision will guarantee the unity and solidarity of Iranians, as well as the independence, national sovereignty, and territorial integrity of our dear country.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and all diplomats of the Islamic Republic of Iran, both at home and abroad, by declaring their allegiance to the third Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, renew their covenant with the Supreme Leader and the great nation of Iran to continue their sincere efforts towards advancing Iran's national interests and realizing the lofty goals of the foreign policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
