Iranian Sri Lankan Foreign Ministers discuss regional developments in phone call

Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, held a telephone conversation on Friday evening with Vijitha Herath, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sri Lanka.

During the call, Iran's top diplomat elaborated on the latest situation resulting from the military aggression of the United States and the Israeli regime against Iran. He also expressed gratitude to the Sri Lankan government for its efforts in rescuing the crew members of the Dena corvette, who were martyred during the brutal and illegal US attack on the vessel on March 4, as well as for its assistance in transferring the pure bodies of 84 of these martyrs back to their homeland.

The two sides also consulted on bilateral relations during the conversation.
