Statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemning the law for the ution of Palest
.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran strongly condemns the adoption of the so‑called law for the execution of Palestinian prisoners by the Knesset of the Zionist occupying regime as an inhumane act contrary to the fundamental principles of human rights and international humanitarian law.
This legislation, passed under the leadership of the criminal Netanyahu, falls within the framework of an organized policy of repression, intimidation, and eradication of the Palestinian people, and serves as a pseudo‑legal tool for venting spite, hostility, and revenge against the Palestinian nation, particularly against Palestinian detainees and prisoners.
Recalling the colonialist and discriminatory legislations adopted by the Zionist regime against the Palestinian people in recent years—including the Jewish Nation‑State Law, opposition to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, and the legalization of land confiscation from Palestinians in the West Bank with the aim of gradually annexing the West Bank—the Islamic Republic of Iran considers these measures to be consistent with the regime’s racist and fascist nature and contrary to the responsibilities and obligations of the occupying power. They also reflect an unprecedented level of blatant disregard by the regime for ethical and human principles, as well as for all international laws and treaties, in particular the Fourth Geneva Convention.
Reiterating the necessity of securing the rights of the Palestinian people—including the fundamental right to self‑determination and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Al‑Quds Al‑Sharif as its capital—the Ministry of Foreign Affairs calls upon the international community and the relevant legal and human rights bodies to fulfill their legal and moral responsibilities and take immediate and effective action to prevent the implementation of such dangerous, hateful, and racist legislation
