Foreign Ministers of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Italy hold telephone conversation

.

Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and Antonio Tajani, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Italy, held a telephone conversation on Saturday evening.

During this phone call, the two sides exchanged views on regional developments and the security, legal, and economic consequences of the military aggression by the United States and the Zionist regime against Iran.

Iran's Foreign Minister briefed his Italian counterpart on the latest developments related to the ceasefire and diplomatic efforts to end the imposed war, and emphasized the importance of European countries playing a responsible role in this process.

Expressing regret over the unconstructive and irresponsible approach of some European countries in repeating incorrect clichés regarding Iran's nuclear issue, Iran's Foreign Minister stated that Iran's nuclear program is absolutely peaceful, and that this group of countries, instead of insisting on such an approach, should unequivocally condemn the military aggression of the United States and the Zionist regime against Iran and hold them accountable for their gross violations of international humanitarian law.
