Iranian and Lebanese Foreign Ministers meet in Baghdad

Seyed Abbas Araghchi Iran’s Foreign Minister and Youssef Raggi Lebanon’s Foreign Minister met and held talks on Saturday afternoon on the sidelines of the 52nd session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Baghdad.

Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Foreign Minister, and Youssef Raggi, Lebanon’s Foreign Minister, met and held talks on Saturday afternoon on the sidelines of the 52nd session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Baghdad.

The two sides exchanged views on Tehran-Beirut bilateral relations and ways to strengthen ties between the two countries.

Referring to the Islamic Republic of Iran’s principled position on the need to preserve Lebanon’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, Araghchi emphasized Iran’s support for Lebanon in defending its sovereignty and national security against the aggression and expansionism of the Zionist regime.
