Iranian, Indonesian Foreign Ministers Meet in Jakarta

Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has held talks with his Indonesian counterpart Retno Marsudi in the Asian country's capital of Jakarta. The meeting was held on Friday morning as part of the Iranian foreign minister's meetings and talks with top Asian officials.In the meeting, the two top diplomats expressed pleasure with the level of Iran-Indonesia relations and talks, the number of political and parliamentary delegations the two sides exchange, and the economic collaborations between the two states.They also underlined the need for expansion and deepening of relations given the capacities existing in both countries.The Iranian foreign minister further elaborated on the Islamic Republic's principled approach towards the JCPOA under the current circumstances, and stressed that it is necessary for the other parties to live up to their commitments and that the Iranian nation reaps the JCPOA's economic benefits.The two sides also expressed support for increased political consultations and mutual cooperation on the most pressing issues of the Muslim world, particularly the issue of Palestine, continued consultations on major issues of the region and cooperation at the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and other international bodies.
