Speaking in a meeting with Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Ahmed Nasser Al-Mohammed Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah before noon on Friday, Ayatollah Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi said that the enemies and ill-wishers do not like brotherly relations between the nations of the region, adding, "Despite their will, we ought to raise the level of relations day by day”. Dr Raisi added, "If there is a problem between the countries of the region, it should be resolved through dialogue and interaction, and no room should be given to outsiders to interfere in the region". Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Ahmed Nasser Al-Mohammed Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah also expressed hope that in the coming period, we will form a new chapter in relations with Iran, saying, "We are ready to start cooperation to formulate an operational plan for the comprehensive development of relations as soon as Your Excellency’s cabinet is formed”. Conveying congratulations and a written message from the Emir of Kuwait to Ayatollah Raisi, he stated, "Today, according to the experience gained from the fight against COVID-19, we should define new areas for cooperation between the countries of the region".
