Iran, Tajik FMs hold phone conversation
Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian has held talks on the phone with his Tajik counterpart Sirojiddin Muhriddin over the issues raised at the meeting of the Islamic Cooperation Organization in Islamabad.

At the beginning of the phone call, Amir Abdollahian congratulated the Tajik foreign minister on the New Year and the start of the new solar century, expressing hope that the year 1401 and the new century will be without vices and be full of beauties for the world people and the regional countries. Amir Abdollahian also extended the Iranian president’s greetings to Tajikistan’s president and renewed President Ebrahim Raisi’s invitation of his Tajik counterpart to visit Tehran. The Iranian foreign minister also referred to the meeting of the foreign ministers of the Islamic Cooperation Organization in Pakistan and expressed hope that with efforts by member states, this body will be a venue for solidarity among the Islamic Ummah and will stay out of issues that could damage unity and cohesion of the organization and Muslims. During the telephone conversation that happened while Sirojiddin Muhriddin was in Islamabad, the top Tajik diplomat for his part underlined the necessity of preserving unity in the Islamic Cooperation Organization. The foreign ministers of Iran and Tajikistan also discussed the next conference on Afghanistan that is going to take place in China next week.
