Iranian, Turkmen foreign ministers hold talks on sidelines of meeting of foreign ministers of Afghanistan’s neighbors
Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian and Turkmenistan’s Foreign Minister Rasit Meredow have discussed issues of mutual interest on the sidelines of the meeting of the foreign ministers of Afghanistan’s neighbors.
Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian and Turkmenistan’s Foreign Minister Rasit Meredow have discussed issues of mutual interest on the sidelines of the meeting of the foreign ministers of Afghanistan’s neighbors. During the meeting, the Iranian foreign minister congratulated the honorable people of Turkmenistan on the successful holding of presidential elections in the brotherly and friendly country and expressed hope that, in the new era, the relations between the two countries expand more than ever. Rasit Meredow, in turn, congratulated the people and the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran on the new solar calendar year and underlined protection of the cultural and civilizational heritage of the two countries, including marking Nowruz. During the meeting, the two sides emphasized expansion of all-out cooperation especially in the field of economy, trade, energy, transportation and the Caspian Sea. The foreign ministers of the two countries also discussed and exchanged views on regional developments including the current developments in Afghanistan and Ukraine.
