Iranian Ambassador to Sweden Ahmad Masoumifar has, in a meeting with Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian, presented him a report on the place of his mission, particularly regarding the huge possibilities for expanding bilateral ties in political, international, regional, economic and trade areas and also future plans.
Amirabdollahian gave Masoumifar necessary instructions about future plans for Iran and Sweden’s ties, especially the issue of using the key potential of Iranian expatriates there.
They also discussed the case of Iranian national Hamid Nouri who is in custody illegally in Sweden and a lower court has issued a verdict against him.
Amirabdollahian and Masoumifar underlined that the court in Stockholm has no jurisdiction to investigate allegations levelled against Nouri. The Iranian foreign minister also made some key recommendations on the matter.
