Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian meets with Kuwaiti counterpart Sheikh Ahmad Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Sabah
Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian has met with Kuwait’s Foreign Minister Sheikh Ahmad Nasser Al-Sabah on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly meeting in New York.
Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian has met with Kuwait’s Foreign Minister Sheikh Ahmad Nasser Al-Sabah on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly meeting in New York. The two sides exchanged viewpoints on the issues of mutual interest including bilateral ties, regional and international developments. Amirabdollahian talked about the progress in the relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Kuwait as a neighbor and brotherly country stressing that “ Iran's policy toward neighbors, including those in the Persian Gulf region, is focused on full cooperation.” Elsewhere in his remarks, the Iranian foreign minister briefed his Kuwaiti counterpart on the latest situation of the Vienna talks for the removal of sanctions. During the meeting, Sheikh Ahmad Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Sabah also underlined the will and determination of the leadership of his country to expand ties with Iran. Sheikh Ahmad Al-Sabah also invited the Iranian foreign minister to visit Kuwait to hold talks on the expansion of mutual ties and regional developments and stressed Kuwait’s stance in support of regional negotiations and dialog.
