Iran, Turkey FMs discuss bilateral ties, regional developments
Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian has held talks with his Turkish counterpart Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu on the phone.
Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian has held talks with his Turkish counterpart Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu on the phone. During the telephone conversation, Amirabdollahian said positive interaction with neighbors and regional countries will pave the way for expanding peace and stability in the region and increased synergy in the international arena. Çavuşoğlu for his part welcomed the agreement between Iran and Saudi Arabia. He expressed confidence that the deal will result in strengthening the position of the Muslim world and in creating synergy among Islamic countries for the purpose of helping resolve regional issues. The foreign ministers of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Turkey also exchanged views over the trend of expanding bilateral ties and issues of mutual interest between Tehran and Ankara at the regional level. Amirabdollahian and Çavuşoğlu also discussed the latest state of ties between Iran and the Republic of Azerbaijan.
