Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran Hossein Amirabdollahian has held a phone call with head of the political bureau of Palestinian Islamic resistance movement Hamas Ismaeil Haniyeh, congratulating Eid al-Fitr to him as well as to the Palestinian resistance and people. During the talks, the Iranian foreign minister touched on the special focus of the Eid al-Fitr speech of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution on the important issue of Palestine, stressing the continued spiritual and political support of the Islamic Republic of Iran for the people and resistance of Palestine. During the phone call, head of Hamas political bureau Ismail Naniyeh also congratulated Eid al-Fitr to the Iranian government and nation and conveyed his warm greetings to the Islamic Revolution leader and the Iranian president. The head of Hamas political bureau also underlined the serious resolve of the Palestinian groups and nation to continue resistance against the Israeli regime’s acts of aggression. Ismail Haniyeh also welcomed the recent agreement between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Saudi Arabia, and described it as in line with interests of the two countries and the entire region. “Of course, the Zionist regime is displeased with the agreement,” he added.
