Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian met with his Azeri counterpart Jeyhun Bayramov on the margins of the extraordinary session of the Executive Committee of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Jeddah.
In the meeting, Amirabdollahian dismissed as a glaring example of genocide and crimes against humanity the atrocities recently committed by the child-killing Israeli regime in Gaza, particularly the brutal attack on the Al-Mamadani hospital, saying, “It is necessary that Islamic countries send a unified and strong message to the above-said regime and its supporters.”
Bayramov, for his part, voiced concern over the ongoing developments in Gaza, calling for efforts by all sides to stop killings and bloodshed in Gaza.
In the meeting, some issues of mutual interest, including the developments in the Caucasus region as well as economic and trade cooperation between the two countries, were discussed.
The two sides also stressed the need to expedite the implementation of already reached agreements regarding cooperation on transit and transportation.
