Amirabdollahian praised Nicaragua for its active participation in a conference on Palestine hosted by Iran, stating that the principled positions adopted by the Central American country in the meeting were valuable. He also said the main objective of the meeting was to find an international mechanism to help the Palestinian people.
The Iranian foreign minister also stated that the ties between the two countries are growing, especially after the Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi’s trip to Nicaragua and the accords struck between the two states’ presidents. He sounded upbeat that that the deals would soon be implemented.
Meanwhile, the Nicaraguan foreign minister said, “From our point of view, Palestine means dignity, honor and humanity, and what was obvious in the Tehran conference was the fact that all of the participating countries agreed on the Palestinian cause, regardless of their cultural and ideological differences.”
Moncada stressed that the Nicaraguan government is determined to expand its relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran, reiterating that the areas of collaboration between the two countries should be followed upon.
