Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian has met with his French counterpart Stéphane Séjourné in New York
  Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian has met with his French counterpart Stéphane Séjourné in New York.   In the meeting that happened at the diplomatic mission of France and at the request of the top French diplomat, the two sides discussed the latest state of bilateral ties and some other issues of mutual interest.   The Iranian diplomacy chief strongly condemned the crimes of the Zionist regime against the people of Gaza, stressing the need for serious efforts by the international community to stop the war crimes by the Zionist regime, to establish an immediate ceasefire, and to confront the forced displacement of Palestinians.   Amirabdollahian welcomed the continuation of talks and consultations between Tehran and Paris over common interests and ways of boosting bilateral ties.   French Foreign Minister Stéphane Séjourné also spoke about the positive and constructive role of the Islamic Republic of Iran in preserving peace and stability in the region and stressed the need to prevent the escalation of tensions there.   In this meeting, the two top diplomats also underscored the necessity of maintaining and expanding bilateral relations.
