German Foreign MinisterAnnalena Baerbock, in a phone call with her Iranian counterpart Seyed Abbas Araghchi, congratulated him on his appointment as the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran. During the call, Baerbock expressed hope that under the new Iranian government, with the removal of the existing challenges and obstacles, there would be an expansion of relations between the two countries. Seyed Abbas Araghchi, for his part, thanked his German counterpart for the phone call and congratulations, emphasizing the need for continued political consultations between the two countries. He stated that mutual respect and a focus on shared interests are essential for maintaining and strengthening bilateral relations in various areas. The foreign ministers of Iran and Germany also exchanged views on issues of mutual interest in bilateral relations as well as regional and international developments. They emphasized the determination of both countries to resolve current problems through dialogue and the continuation of political consultations.
