The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson has firmly rejected allegations by a UK security official against the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Esmaeil Baghai on Wednesday condemned the claims, labeling them as unfounded and criticizing their recurrence over the past two years without any supporting evidence.
The spokesperson highlighted the frequent use of the term ‘potential’ by UK officials when describing fabricated accusations against Iran.
He stated that the UK security institutions’ accusations against the Islamic Republic of Iran are part of a policy of artificial ‘enemy-making’ and an attempt to divert public opinion from the UK’s involvement in the ongoing genocide of Palestinians and the Zionist regime’s war-mongering in the region.
The spokesperson advised officials in London to use their influence to halt the occupying regime’s aggression and crimes instead of making baseless accusations and misleading statements.
Furthermore, Baghai called out the UK for hosting certain groups and terrorist organizations that systematically promote violence, terrorism, and hate speech under the guise of freedom of expression.
He reminded all governments of their international legal obligations to combat terrorism and incitement to violence.
Baghai concluded by calling on the UK to reconsider its unconstructive policies towards the Iranian people and the West Asia region.
