Philippine Foreign Minister Enrique Manalo has sent a letter to his Iranian counterpart Seyed Abbas Araghchi, thanking him for the Islamic Republic of Iran’s assistance in repatriating 17 Filipino crew members of the Galaxy Leader Ship to their country. Manalo said Iran’s help shows the age-old relations between Tehran and Manila and also their good-faith ties. The Filipino foreign minister then appreciated Iran’s precious cooperation and support. The Islamic Republic of Iran has been following up on the issue of the freedom and repatriation of the crew of the Galaxy Leader Ship to their countries through diplomatic channels over the past few months. The crew members of the Galaxy Leader returned to their countries through Oman last Thursday, on January 24. Previously, the Mexican government also thanked the Islamic Republic of Iran for its assistance in the returning of several Mexican nationals from the Galaxy Leader ship.
