Iranian diplomat discusses bilateral relations with Turkish envoy emphasizes on avoiding harmful comments
The Assistant to Iran’s Foreign Minister and Director General for the Mediterranean and Eastern Europe Department Mahmoud Heidari met on Monday with Turkish Ambassador to Tehran Hicabi Kırlangıç over recent remarks by Turkey’s foreign minister.
  The Assistant to Iran’s Foreign Minister and Director General for the Mediterranean and Eastern Europe Department, Mahmoud Heidari, met on Monday with Turkish Ambassador to Tehran Hicabi Kırlangıç over recent remarks by Turkey’s foreign minister.   Heidari stated, “The shared interests of both countries and the sensitive regional conditions necessitate avoiding inappropriate remarks and unrealistic analyses that could lead to disputes and tensions in bilateral relations.”   The Iranian diplomat described the ongoing aggression and expansionist policies of the Zionist regime as the greatest threat to regional stability and security.   He further noted, “Major Islamic countries are expected to focus all their efforts on halting the Zionist regime’s crimes and aggressions against the oppressed people of Palestine and other nations in the region, including Syria.”   The Turkish ambassador reiterated Turkey's approach is based on maintaining and expanding cordial ties with the Islamic Republic of Iran.   He stated, “We also believe that the two major countries, Turkey and Iran, should closely collaborate to enhance bilateral relations, regional cooperation, and ward off the existing threats.”   Ambassador Kırlangıç assured that he would convey the views of the Iranian Foreign Ministry to his country's foreign ministry.
