The Islamic Republic of Iran’s newly appointed Ambassador to Windhoek, Mohammad Baqer Beigi, met with Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi prior to departing for his post. During the meeting, he presented a report outlining his proposed plans for his new diplomatic assignment. The foreign minister highlighted the importance of relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Africa, and stressed the need to bolster bilateral ties, particularly in the economic and commercial sectors. Before his appointment as ambassador to Namibia, Beigi served as Director of the Third Asia and Oceania Department.
