Iran's Foreign Minister, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, met with Alireza Sabzali, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Madagascar, this Tuesday afternoon prior to his departure to assume his mission. He presented a report on his proposed program for the fulfillment of his assigned duties in the new post. During the meeting, Araghchi extended his best wishes for success to the new Ambassador in Antananarivo. He underscored the necessity of efforts to strengthen relations with that country, particularly in the economic and commercial fields. Prior to his appointment as Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Madagascar, Sabzali had served as Head of the Department for Economic Policies and Programs at the Office of Economic Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
