Foreign ministers of Iran Pakistan hold phone conversation
The Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Muhammad Ishaq Dar had a phone call with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran Seyed Abbas Araghchi
The Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Muhammad Ishaq Dar, had a phone call with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, on Monday evening to discuss bilateral ties between the two countries as well as regional and international developments.   The two ministers highlighted the very good relations between the two countries in various fields and emphasized joint efforts to pursue the matters on the agenda and promote ties between the two neighboring countries as much as possible in various fields of mutual interest, including economic, commercial, and cultural.   The two sides also exchanged views on regional developments, especially the ongoing crimes by the Zionist regime on occupied Palestinian lands and its aggression against Lebanon and Syria, and other Islamic states.   The foreign ministers pointed to the recent meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) foreign ministers on the developments in Somalia and the Zionist regime’s actions aimed at disintegrating the African nation, stressing on the continued talks and cooperation between Muslim states to protect and safeguard regional security and stability.   During the phone call, the Iranian foreign minister elucidated the recent events in Iran and the fact that peaceful protests turned violent by the violence-seeking elements affiliated with the US and Zionist regime.   Araghchi underlined the Iranian nation’s resolve to safeguard the country’s independence, national sovereignty and security against mischievous foreign plots.
