Badr Abdelatty, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Egypt, held a telephone conversation with Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, during which the two sides exchanged views on regional and international developments.
The Iranian Foreign Minister elaborated on Iran’s positions regarding the nuclear issue and briefed his Egyptian counterpart on the discussions held during the recent round of indirect Iran–U.S. negotiations in Geneva.
For his part, the Egyptian Foreign Minister voiced support for the continuation of the ongoing diplomatic process and emphasized the need to sustain consultations with the aim of reaching a mutually acceptable framework for both parties.
