Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, who has traveled to Geneva for the third round of Iran–U.S. nuclear negotiations, met on Wednesday evening with Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, Foreign Minister of Oman.
During the meeting, the Islamic Republic of Iran’s views on nuclear-related issues and the lifting of sanctions were outlined, and the country’s key points and considerations were conveyed to the Omani side.
The Iranian foreign minister, while expressing appreciation for Oman’s efforts to help advance the ongoing diplomatic process, stressed that the success of the negotiations depends on the seriousness of the other side and its avoidance of contradictory behavior and positions.
The Omani foreign minister, praising Iran’s steadfast commitment to pursuing a diplomatic approach regarding the nuclear issue, reaffirmed Oman’s readiness to continue its good offices and provide any necessary assistance along this path. He also expressed hope that, through the mutual seriousness of the parties involved, the talks would lead to an outcome satisfactory to both sides.
It is worth noting that the indirect Iran–U.S. negotiations will continue on Thursday with the participation of the delegations of the two countries.
