Chang Byung-ha, the special envoy of South Korea’s Foreign Minister who traveled to Tehran for consultations with Iranian officials, met with Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi on Wednesday evening.   During this meeting, Iran’s Foreign Minister detailed the atrocities committed by the United States and the Zionist regime during their 40-day military aggression against Iran. He emphasized the necessity for countries to adopt a clear and decisive stance in condemning this aggression and the brutal atrocities against the Iranian people.   Referring to the military aggression by the US and the Zionist regime against Iran as the cause and source of the existing insecurity in the Persian Gulf region and the Strait of Hormuz, Araghchi stated: "As a coastal state of the Strait of Hormuz, Iran has taken measures in accordance with international law and its domestic regulations to protect its national security and interests against the aggression and threats of the US and the Zionist regime. Naturally, the responsibility for the consequences of this situation lies with the aggressor parties."   Araghchi also emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral relations between Iran and South Korea and announced Iran’s readiness for cooperation in this regard.   Chang Byung-ha conveyed the greetings of Cho Hyun, the Foreign Minister of South Korea, to Iran’s Foreign Minister, described the enhancement of relations with Iran as very important, and expressed pleasure over the establishment of a ceasefire.
