Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, held a phone conversation with Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, to exchange views on the latest regional developments and ongoing diplomatic processes.
During the call, Iran’s top diplomat elaborated on various aspects of the current situation in the region, particularly developments related to the ceasefire and the challenges facing its consolidation. He briefed his Qatari counterpart on the latest initiatives and diplomatic efforts by the Islamic Republic of Iran to put an end to the imposed war of the US‑Zionist regime against Iran and to reduce tensions.
The two sides underscored the importance of constructive engagement by regional countries in crisis management and emphasized the continuation of consultations and diplomatic coordination to support peace initiatives and strengthen regional stability.
The Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Qatar welcomed the Islamic Republic of Iran’s diplomatic approach and reaffirmed his country’s readiness to continue playing an active role in mediation and facilitating dialogue aimed at ending the imposed war of the US‑Zionist regime against Iran.
