Statements by Minister of Foreign Affairs, at the ceremony of Dr. Kamal Kharazi's martyrdom and Dr. Hossein Amir-Abdollahian's martyrdom: 🔹 "I begin my remarks by saluting all the martyrs of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, especially the martyrs of the recent war, foremost among them the martyred Imam, the commanders, officials, our dear people, and the students of the Shajareh Tayyebeh School in Minab." "In these seventy days, we witnessed things we never imagined. Who would have believed we would experience a situation where every day news of a great martyrdom came, yet the entire nation stood firm?" "In one word, Dr. Kharazi was 'Agha Kamal.' We worked closely together for three years. He was very good-natured, humble, yet serious. 'Agha Kamal' suited him, and without exaggeration, he had attained the pinnacle of human virtue." "Martyr Amir-Abdollahian and I were students of the martyred Kharazi and many of the great figures of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In one word, he was the 'epitome of morality, courtesy, and humility.'" "The recent forty-day war, which in a way continues, was a very good test. My colleagues and managers in Tehran, at the Ministry headquarters, were all present with the necessary arrangements, and we tried to be the voice of righteousness, of the oppressed, and the voice of the Iranian people. After forty days of resistance, people around the world began to say, 'We did not truly know the Iranian people, the armed forces, and Iranian officials.' Not a single one of our diplomats abandoned their post." "American officials have admitted that the Iranians won the public diplomacy war and that our embassies won the media and public diplomacy battle." "The battlefield, diplomacy, media, and the streets—these were the four effective dimensions of the forty-day war. We are all together in one trench. Beloved Iran has placed a garment on each of us and assigned each of us a mission." "Our mission is to be Iran's voice and to defend the interests of the people in international arenas. Wherever necessary, we fight, and wherever necessary, we negotiate. We are entirely at the service of the interests of the system." "We do not see our mission as separate from the mission of others; we are fully coordinated with the overall objectives of the system. We all have one goal and are moving in one direction."
