In the Name of God, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful فَمَنِ اعْتَدَىٰ عَلَيْكُمْ فَاعْتَدُوا عَلَيْهِ "So whoever has assaulted you, then assault him in the same way that he has assaulted you." Following the repeated violations of the April 8 ceasefire and the continued acts of aggression by the Israeli regime against Lebanon and the Islamic Republic of Iran—including through coordination with the terrorist U.S. military in attacks over the past two weeks against Iranian vessels and targets in the southern regions of the country, as well as collaboration with the U.S. regime in acts of maritime piracy against the Iranian nation—the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, on the evening of Sunday, June 7, 2026, struck several military targets in the northern occupied Palestinian territories. The operation was carried out within the framework of Iran’s inherent right to self-defense under Article 51 of the United Nations Charter. The Islamic Republic of Iran, while emphasizing the firm determination of the Iranian nation to decisively defend its security and national interests wherever it deems necessary, recalls that the ceasefire in Lebanon constituted an integral part of the ceasefire understanding reached on April 8, 2026. The United States bears direct responsibility for the Israeli regime’s violations of the ceasefire and the resulting consequences, as well as for any escalation of tensions in the region. The Islamic Republic of Iran warns that any further hostile adventurism by the Israeli regime against Lebanon or the Islamic Republic of Iran will be met with a forceful and comprehensive response from Iran’s brave Armed Forces.
