FM Araghchi highlights closer cooperation with parliament on economic hoals
Members of the Economic Commission of the Islamic Consultative Assembly (Parliament) and the Economic Diplomacy Committee headed by Shamsuddin Hosseini and Manouchehr Mottaki met and held talks this afternoon with Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi along with a number of deputy ministers and senior officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at the ministrys headquarters.
Members of the Economic Commission of the Islamic Consultative Assembly (Parliament) and the Economic Diplomacy Committee, headed by Shamsuddin Hosseini and Manouchehr Mottaki, met and held talks this afternoon with Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi, along with a number of deputy ministers and senior officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, at the ministry's headquarters. During the meeting, key issues related to economic diplomacy, the expansion of trade and foreign investment cooperation, strategies for increasing non-oil exports, and the utilization of provincial diplomacy and economic diplomacy capacities to support the national economy were discussed. In the joint session, the Foreign Minister outlined the diplomatic apparatus's measures and plans in the field of economic diplomacy and emphasized the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ readiness to work closely with the Islamic Consultative Assembly to achieve the country's economic objectives and expand international economic relations. Participants also stressed the need for greater synergy between the Parliament and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to remove obstacles facing economic actors, facilitate trade relations with regional countries, and maximize the use of the economic capacities of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s diplomatic missions abroad.
