Iranian Pakistani Foreign Ministers hold phone conversation
Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi held a telephone conversation this evening (Friday) with Pakistans Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar.
Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi held a telephone conversation this evening (Friday) with Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar. During the call, the Iranian Foreign Minister expressed appreciation for Pakistan's efforts, initiatives, and good offices in the negotiation process and in reaching a Memorandum of Understanding. Araghchi also referred to the United States' commitment and responsibility regarding the cessation of war on all fronts, including Lebanon, emphasizing that any violation of the obligations set forth in this Memorandum of Understanding would be attributable to the United States, and warned of the consequences and repercussions of such an action. Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, in turn, welcomed the ongoing diplomatic process, reaffirming his country's support for the continuation of negotiations and efforts to achieve positive and lasting outcomes, and expressed hope for success in the forthcoming stages of this process. During the conversation, the two sides reviewed and followed up on a number of bilateral issues and underscored the importance of continued consultations and coordination.
