FM Zarif, New Afghan Ambassador Meet in Tehran

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has held talks with Afghanistan’s new ambassador to Tehran Abdul Ghafoor Liwal.

In the Sunday meeting, the two diplomats highlighted the cultural, lingual and religious values shared by the two neighbours.
Referring to the centennial of establishment of political and diplomatic ties between Iran and Afghanistan, the two sides also discussed the immediate finalization of a comprehensive document on strategic relations between Tehran and Kabul.
They also exchanged views on the significance of stability and security in Afghanistan.
In the meeting, Liwal submited a copy of his credentials to the Iranian top diplomat.
