Iranian, German Foreign Ministers Meet in Munich

Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mohammad Javad Zarif and his German counterpart Heiko Maas have held a meeting on the sidelines of the 2020 Munich Security Conference.

 

Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mohammad Javad Zarif and his German counterpart Heiko Maas have held a meeting on the sidelines of the 2020 Munich Security Conference.

 

In the Saturday meeting, the top Iranian and German diplomats discussed the political and security conditions in the region, the mistakes made by Americans in the West Asia region, Europe's commitments under the JCPOA, and the realities about the relations between Europe and the US.

 

Foreign Minister Zarif and Maas also weighed plans to strengthen trust and cooperation between Iran and Europe.
