Iran’s new envoy to Spain meets Foreign Minister Amirabdollahian
Reza Zabib, Iran’s new Ambassador to Spain, met with Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian before departing for the country of his mission. They discussed the state of relations between the two countries and the most important areas of mutual cooperation.

Amirabdollahian referred to the longstanding good relations between Iran and Spain and stressed the need for further boosting ties including the exchange of specialized delegations in such fields as political, international and cultural relations.
He also underlined the necessity of paying proper attention to using the potentials of global tourism organization and the International Olive Council that are stationed in Spain.
Zabib previously held such posts as the director general for American, economic, East Asian and Oceania affairs of the Foreign Ministry as well as Iran’s ambassador to Cyprus.
