Iran's new envoy to Sri Lanka meets with FM, talks diplomatic plans

Alireza Delkhosh, Iran's recently appointed ambassador to Sri Lanka, met and engaged in discussions with Hossein Amirabdollahian, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, on the eve of his departure for his diplomatic mission.

During this meeting, the new ambassador presented a report on his mission and shared the plans and work programs of the embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran for the next three years. 

 

The Minister of Foreign Affairs emphasized the ongoing growth of relations between Iran and Sri Lanka, highlighting the importance of fostering comprehensive relations, with a particular emphasis on economic cooperation. He underscored the significance of commercial fields, the export of technical-engineering services, and multilateral cooperation within international and regional organizations.

 

Alireza Delkhosh, who previously served as the General Director of the Cultural Cooperation at the Public Diplomacy Center, has held key positions, including heading the border department and serving as the deputy of Iran's embassies in Turkey and Sweden.
