Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Nasser Kanaani has reacted to the acts by a small number of European countries and the US regime which, in addition to issuing meddlesome statements, announced sanctions against a number of Iranian officials, organizations and some media outlets of the country as well as their CEOs.
Kanaani said unfortunately, some sides that have completely dark records in terms of human rights and women’s rights have, in a desperate, concerted and threadbare move, issued political and worthless statements in order to sow sedition in the Islamic Republic of Iran and they insist on imposing repeated and futile sanctions.
He condemned such moves and meddlesome statements which he described as preposterous and hypocritical shows. Kanaani further said these Western countries have constantly committed most severe crimes against their own citizens, especially women and also minorities, people of color, native people and migrants, and they never genuinely dare to object to and condemn the daily crimes of the child-killing Zionist regime, and as such, they are in no position to shed crocodile tears for the Iranian people.
Kanaani said that the countries' hosting of hateful and criminal figures and groups such as the terrorist sect of MKO, who have the blood of thousands of innocent Iranians and Iraqis on their hand, inviting them to hold rallies and giving them a platform all show that the claims such as supporting the rights of the people of Iran are a lie.
While condemning the illegal and undiplomatic actions of those regimes, the Iranian Foreign Ministry’s spokesman said European politicians should realize as soon as possible that the continuation of such unconstructive moves is not in their interests at all and that they need to put in place and adopt a new policy that would respect the great and civilized people of Iran and the sovereignty of the Islamic Republic of Iran and would serve security and mutual interests of both sides.
Kanaani said obviously, the vigilant people of Iran as well as the Iranian government and security organizations will be unfazed by the propaganda and spiteful acts of the Western sides.
