Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian has hosted a delegation of the Lebanese Muslim Scholars Assembly.

 

During the meeting, Amirabdollahian underlined the effective performance of the assembly in the past over four decades in confronting the plots by the enemies of the Islamic Ummah to cause rifts and differences among Islamic denominations, and stressed on the Islamic scholars’ role in raising public awareness and explaining the facts in the Islamic world.

 

Referring to the ongoing developments in Gaza and other parts of Palestine, he said Operation Al-Aqsa Flood has once again turned the Palestinian issue into the top issue of the Islamic world and the rest of the world.

 

The foreign minister touched on the continuation of the Zionist regime’s crimes and the US regime’s open and all-out support for the crimes, stressing it is necessary to take practical steps to apply pressure on the Zionist regime to stop the child-killing regime’s crimes.

 

For his part, the head of the assembly’s board of directors, Sheikh Hassan Abdullah, and the president of the assembly, Sheikh Ghazi Hanina, clarified the objectives of the organization and measures taken in this regard during the past years in Lebanon and the region to forge Islamic unity and support the resistance, especially regarding the Palestinian issue.

 

The Lebanese Muslim Scholars Assembly appreciated the Islamic Republic of Iran for its special role in supporting the unity of the Islamic world and the just issues of the Islamic Ummah, and above all supporting the Palestinian nation’s legitimate struggles against occupation, aggression and slaughter.

They stated that the Palestinian issue is the most crucial issue in the Islamic world.

 

Officials with the Lebanese Muslim Scholars Assembly said Operation Al-Aqsa Flood was a definite defeat for the Zionist enemy.

They stressed that the experiences of the Lebanese and Palestinian nations in fighting the Zionist enemy during the past decades and the major victories of the resistance have been a successful model for other nations in the region.
