Iranian foreign ministry spokesman strongly condemns Zionist regime assassination of Hezbollah commander

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Nasser Kanaani strongly condemned the Zionist regimes move to assassinate a Hezbollah commander Wissam Hassan Tawil describing the killing as an adventurism on part of the regime.

Kanaani said this cowardly act shows the Zionist regime's clear military weakness and desperation and is a sign of the painful blows to its fake grandeur on the ground, including in Gaza.

 

The foreign ministry spokesman added that such heinous acts will not offset the irreparable defeat that the regime suffered in Operation Al-Aqsa Flood and its 3-month war-mongering against the Palestinian people in Gaza and the West Bank.

 

Kanaani further warned the international community including the UN Security Council about the gross adventurism by the Zionist regime that is aimed at spreading the war across the region.

He underlined that the continuation of war crimes by the Zionist regime against Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank and at the same time its violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Lebanon and Syria and the clear resort of the usurping regime to organized terrorist acts all pose an immediate threat to regional and global peace and security.

Kanaani also said that undoubtedly, the murderous Zionist regime and its supporters are ultimately responsible for the consequences of such terrorist and adventurous acts.

 

He then hailed Lebanon's noble defense of the Palestinian people against the criminal Israeli regime and offered condolences and congratulations to the government and people of Lebanon as well as to Hezbollah resistance movement particularly to the dear family of Wisam Hassan Tawil, over the martyrdom of the commander.

 

Kanaani reaffirmed Iran's support for the unity, solidarity, stability and security of Lebanon and the country's legitimate right to defend itself against the Zionist regime's acts of aggression.
