Iran new envoy to Brunei meets with FM Amirabdollahian

Mohammad Taghi Rajabi, the new ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Brunei, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hossein Amirabdollahian, on the eve of his departure to the place of mission.
While presenting a report on the scope of his mission, Rajabi discussed the upcoming plans for the development and promotion of cooperation between Tehran and Bandar Seri Begawan.
Amirabdollahian, emphasizing the expansion of relations with Islamic countries, considered Brunei to have good capacities for cooperation.
He expressed hope that the new ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran would promote and develop relations between the two countries in all political, economic, and cultural dimensions.
Rajabi has previously served as the head of the Second Department of Asia and the Pacific in the Foreign Ministry, deputy of the First Department of ASEAN Member States, and as a diplomat posted to Indonesia and Malaysia.
