Italys new envoy meets FM Amirabdollahian submits copy of credentials
Ms. Paola Amadei Italy’s new ambassador to Tehran met with Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian at the beginning of her diplomatic mission in the Islamic Republic of Iran and submitted a copy of her credentials to him.

At the start of the Saturday meeting, Ms. Amadei spoke about the historical ties between Iran and Italy as well as the rich cultures and civilizations of both nations.
She then outlined her plan for the expansion of bilateral relations.
She referred to the policy of the European Union in line with international conventions regarding the condemnation of the Zionist regime’s attack on the consular section of Iran’s Embassy in Damascus.
The Italian envoy said her country is opposed to the escalation of tension and war in the region and supports interaction through frank dialogue.
Ms. Amadei highlighted the role of the Islamic Republic of Iran as a key regional actor in order to ensure stability and security in the region.
Amirabdollahian, in turn, wished Ms. Amadei success as the new ambassador of Italy to Tehran. He then pointed out the good and growing relations between the two countries, noting that Iran does not place any limits on the expansion of relations with Italy.
He expressed hope that in the new era, while the relations between the two countries move forward, Tehran and Rome expand their ties in various political, economic, commercial, scientific, technological and cultural fields.
The Iranian foreign minister stressed that Tehran’s policy is to expand relations with all world nations including with European countries.
