Russian foreign minister to visit Iran

The spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Esmail Baqaei, announced that Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will visit Tehran this week.

According to Baqaei, Lavrov's visit to Tehran is part of the ongoing consultations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Russian Federation regarding bilateral relations and regional as well as international developments.

During the visit, the Russian foreign minister will meet and hold talks with his Iranian counterpart as well as other Iranian officials.

They will discuss the latest status of bilateral relations, regional and international developments.
