Hamas officials meet Iran FM reaffirm resistance against Zionists to continue

During the meeting, the latest developments in Palestine, particularly the latest crimes by the Zionist regime in the Gaza Strip, were discussed.

 

The former Palestinian health minister Dr. Basem Naim referred to the dire humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip and the occupying regime’s weaponization of water and food for collective punishment, saying the people of Gaza and the resistance groups will continue to stand firm against the crimes of the Zionist regime until a solution is reached that secures the interests and rights of the Palestinian people.

 

He added that despite the efforts of mediating countries, the Zionist regime has no intention of stopping the war and is using the negotiations merely as a tactic to buy time and to impose, through talks, the very goals it has failed to achieve on the battlefield.

 

The Hamas Political Bureau member noted that in any negotiation, the sole objective of the resistance movement is to guarantee the interests and rights of the Palestinian people, including a complete ceasefire, withdrawal of occupying forces from the Gaza Strip, and the lifting of the oppressive blockade on Gaza.

 

He also thanked the friendly nations supporting Palestine and especially appreciated the support of the people and government of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The Palestinian official called on Muslim countries and the international community to step up pressure on the Zionist regime to put an end to the ongoing genocide in the Gaza Strip.

 

Araghchi also thanked the Hamas delegation for their participation in the Tehran Dialogue Forum. He said the ceasefire proposals presented by the Zionist regime and the US have not addressed the fundamental demands and interests of the Palestinian people.
