In protest against the inappropriate remarks made by some Ukrainian authorities regarding the aggression of the Zionist regime and the US against Iran, the Ukrainian chargé d’affaires in Tehran was summoned by Head of the First Department of Eurasian Affairs at the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Shahram Farsaei, who conveyed Iran’s strong protest on this matter to the Ukrainian side.
While delivering the protest note of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Farsaei underlined that Ukrainian officials, by supporting the military aggression of the Zionist regime, have in fact disregarded Ukraine’s international legal obligations concerning respect for the principles and purposes of the UN Charter as well as the four Geneva Conventions, and have thereby endorsed the heinous crimes the apartheid Israeli regime has committed. Farsaei noted that this entails international responsibility for the Ukrainian government.
During the meeting,
the consequences of repeating such hostile and provocative positions by the Ukrainian regime against Iran were also warned to Ukraine’s chargé d’affaires.
The Ukrainian diplomat said he would promptly convey Iran’s protest to his government.
