Foreign ministers of Iran Qatar meet in Doha

Irans Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi who has traveled to Doha to participate in the meeting of foreign ministers of Islamic and Arab countries met on Sunday on the sidelines of the summit with the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Qatar Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani.

  

Iran's Foreign Minister, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, who has traveled to Doha to participate in the meeting of foreign ministers of Islamic and Arab countries, met on Sunday on the sidelines of the summit with the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani.

 

During the meeting, the Iranian foreign minister emphasized Iran’s principled and firm stance in strongly condemning the military aggression of the Zionist regime against Qatar. 

 

He stressed the need for an effective and collective move by the Islamic world to confront the regime’s warmongering against Islamic countries, halt the genocide in Gaza, and prosecute and punish the leaders of the occupying regime.

 

The foreign minister of Qatar, while appreciating Iran’s principled and brotherly stance in expressing support and solidarity with the people and government of Qatar, underscored the need for intensified, comprehensive efforts by Islamic and Arab countries to assist the oppressed people of Palestine and to counter the dangerous trend of Israeli expansionism in the surrounding region.

 

During the meeting, the two sides also exchanged views on bilateral relations between Iran and Qatar and international developments, including the nuclear issue and Iran’s ongoing and responsible diplomatic efforts.

 

Iranian FM meets with Pakistani, Somali, Egyptian, Iraqi counterparts on sidelines of emergency meeting of Islamic-Arab foreign ministers in Qatar

 

Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi, who is in Doha to attend the emergency meeting of the foreign ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the Arab League, met on Sunday on the sidelines of the summit with Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan; Abdusalam Ali, Foreign Minister of Somalia; Badr Abdelaty, Foreign Minister of Egypt; and Fuad Hussein, Foreign Minister of Iraq.

 

During the meetings, discussions were held on bilateral relations as well as regional and international developments, particularly the catastrophic situation in occupied Palestine and the ongoing genocide in Gaza. 

 

The parties emphasized the urgent need for effective international action to halt the crimes of the Zionist regime, confront its escalating warmongering, and end its impunity.

 

The meetings also highlighted the latest diplomatic developments regarding Iran’s nuclear issue and underscored the responsibilities of the UN Security Council members in this regard.
