Iran’s Foreign Minister, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, who is in New York to attend the annual session of the United Nations General Assembly, met and held talks on Monday evening with Poland’s Foreign Minister, Radosław Sikorski as part of his ongoing bilateral consultations.
During the meeting, discussions covered matters of international peace and security, including the conflict in Ukraine and developments in the West Asia region, besides issues related to bilateral relations.
Referring to the inappropriate approaches of three European countries regarding Iran’s nuclear issue, the Iranian foreign minister stressed the need for all parties to act responsibly and avoid complicating the situation further.
Araghchi described the aggressive attacks by the Zionist regime and the US against Iran, and the damage inflicted on the country’s peaceful nuclear facilities, as an unprecedented violation of the rule of law and a dangerous sign of the law of the jungle prevailing in international relations.
He warned of the consequences of any indifference toward the spread of such lawlessness and called on all countries to adhere to the principles and objectives of the United Nations Charter.
