Iran strongly condemns terror attack in Pakistan

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmail Baqaei strongly condemned the terrorist attack at the Hazrat Khadijah al-Kubra Mosque in the Taralai area of Islamabad the capital of Pakistan which occurred during Friday prayers and resulted in the martyrdom and injury of several worshippers.

Baqaei also offered condolences to the families of the victims as well as to the government and people of Pakistan and prayed to Almighty God for the swift recovery of those injured in this criminal act.

 

The Foreign Ministry spokesman underlined the principled policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran to firmly condemn all forms of terrorism and violent extremism and said preventing and combating the heinous phenomenon of terrorism requires the cooperation and coordination of all countries in the region, as well as continuous efforts to confront its perpetrators, organizers, supporters, and financial backers.
