Iranian Iraqi foreign ministers discuss latest regional international developments

The Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran Seyed Abbas Araghchi had a phone conversation on Sunday evening with his Iraqi counterpart Fuad Hussein.

During the phone call, the two sides reviewed and exchanged views on the latest regional and international developments.

 

The Iranian foreign minister briefed his Iraqi counterpart on recent developments related to the Iran-US nuclear negotiations.

 

The Iraqi foreign minister, while expressing appreciation for the explanations provided, reaffirmed his country’s support for the ongoing diplomatic process and expressed hope that the current talks would lead to favorable outcomes for Iran as well as peace and stability in the region.
